IT'S HER TURN...

Ten years ago when I had my son, I knew nothing about a blogging; but I did know that he was going to finally go to school! I was excited, he was excited, we learned together. Then, the years flew by first, second, third, and fifth grade. I remember that, yes he had a graduation and everything. I was so proud of him. We'd come a long way and boy was he smart. His baby sister and I cheering him on when they called his name *sigh* smh so...can somebody please tell me...WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO MIDDLE SCHOOL???
My son is now an 8th grader, that's a senior in middle school and he is standing 6, yes count them 6 inches taller than I am (don't laugh cause I'm short...I'm still the mama!). Did I mention, girlfriends??? OMG how was I not ready for this? I still see my itty mitty little smoogie woogie son Mone-Mone...but he's grown now, he has hair and everything omg smh...so was not ready for that. So he blessed me with this movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid then, Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2 it all became clear to me: HE'S GROWING UP NOW *sniff, sniff*  (In my sons deep teen voice) "It'll be alright ma, I gotcha back, and you still got Jossi. We'll take care of you ma."

Jossi, yes yes yes I still have Jossi! All is not lost! Cute little button nosed Mini-Me as I so dubbed her. After three years of rearing where the last year all I heard for ten months every morning we took Mr. Mone to school was "Mommy? Why can't I go to school?" Being a disabled mother of two without a job, kinda took the fun out of daycare servicing. But then, I heard: "they have Vpak for kids her age, but there's a waiting list". Wasn't even talking to me; but I show was on it yup yup. Signed her up...wait for it...wait for it...wait for it...
"Uh, Miss Reese, we have a new school opening up that are taking 3-4year olds, would you like to try to get Jos'Lyn in?" "Sure."
"It's at a church facility."  <should have heard me singing the Whisper's inside my head: just wanna tell u how I'm feeling inside,(doin' my lil two step) love got me walkin on cloud number 9... "Since she's three she can start the next school year."...it just gets better in time>
BLESSED AND THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!
Everything lil mama needs for school... I think I'm more ecstatic than she is...
"Mommy, guess what, I soon will be going to the BIG school. Mommy? Don't cry, I'll be back to check on you everyday...IT'S MY TURN NOW MOMMY!"
I just smiled my mommy smile as she went to go play in her room. I'm thinking: 'yep, it's her turn now....'

August 30th...HERE WE COME!
